Northridge partner Ian Lynam named in The Lawyer Hot 100

"If there’s been a big football deal in the past few years, it’s likely Northridge’s Ian Lynam was on it. Chelsea’s £4.25bn sale? Yep. Michele Kang’s acquisition of the London City Lionesses? Sure. Spotify’s partnership with Barcelona, the biggest European sports sponsorship ever? Absolutely. And Lynam’s not limited to football. Last year he represented the owner of the Mumbai Indians in their investment in The Hundred cricket team the Oval Invincibles, and IKON Capital on its purchase of the Tech3 MotoGP team.

As head of the firm’s transactional team he has led Northridge to become one of the pre-eminent sports deal teams in the UK. For him, the Chelsea deal, quickly followed by the sale of AC Milan in 2022, was something of a watershed moment for the team, since followed by instructions that include extensive work in women’s football, Everton’s sale and Red Bull’s investment in Leeds FC. With impressive revenue growth in recent years, too, Lynam’s team looks set for a bright future."
