Northridge launches real estate offering

Northridge today (16 September 2026) announced the launch of a real estate offering, significantly enhancing the firm’s ability to provide clients with seamless support on the property aspects of finance transactions, corporate deals and strategic projects, while also offering access to a broad range of real estate services.

The offering will be led by real estate lawyer, Adam Thomas, whose team brings significant experience across all aspects of commercial real estate including acquisitions and disposals, development, occupational arrangements and, working alongside Northridge’s finance practice, property-backed secured lending.  The team will also provide specialist construction, planning and property litigation support.

Adam and his team have already worked closely with Northridge on a number of high-value, complex matters including:

  • supporting Northridge’s finance team with a multi-million-pound secured refinancing and loan facility for a Championship football club;
  • undertaking legal due diligence and risk reporting on a range of real estate assets, including a Premier League stadium, development land and other facilities; and
  • advising Mercury13 on the real estate aspects of its acquisition of a majority shareholding in Women’s Super League 2 club, Bristol City Women, including advising on new development, facilities agreements, pitch arrangements and a long-term ground-sharing agreement relating to a prominent multi-use stadium.

In addition, Adam’s team has advised a Women’s Super League club on the acquisition and development of a 28-acre site which is set to become one of the largest dedicated women’s training facilities in the world.  The team has also advised on the grant of a lease of training facilities to a first-class county cricket club, and advises on all real estate aspects of a 650-acre hospitality, leisure and elite sports venue.

Adam is ranked as a “Next Generation Partner” for Commercial Property in Legal 500, where clients describe him as “very commercially minded”, “highly knowledgeable” and “a delight to work with.”

"I am delighted to be working with Northridge to support clients across the sports, retail and leisure sectors. In addition to providing transactional real estate support to Northridge's finance and corporate teams, clients will benefit from access to a full range of real estate services.

Having collaborated with Northridge over several years, the advantages of a more integrated approach are clear. This is an exciting opportunity to develop that approach and further enhance the real estate support on offer to Northridge’s clients."

"Real estate sits at the heart of many of the biggest decisions clubs, leagues and investors make – from stadium redevelopment and training ground expansion to the acquisition of sites for new facilities.

Having worked alongside Adam on a number of transactions already, it's been increasingly clear that his real estate expertise (and significant experience advising on sports real estate matters) complements the Tier 1 sports work of Northridge. Formalising that relationship means we can now offer clients a genuinely seamless experience and coverage for this core aspect of their businesses, from the property fundamentals through to the corporate and financing structure around them."
