Northridge advises on investment in Liverpool FC
Northridge advised on the high-profile agreement for the sale of a strategic minority equity stake in Liverpool FC to 1892 Holdings, a consortium led and managed by Amit Bhatia.
Northridge acted for one of the members of the consortium, K5 Sports (a K5 Global Fund, with Jeff Bezos as the lead investor in the K5 Sports fund), acting alongside Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe as co-counsel.
The Northridge team on this deal included Ian Lynam, Paul Shapiro, Jamie Feldman, Sarah Boulton, Philippa Scott, Toby Cooper, Oliver Levett, Gino Murugesan, India Gommo, Kirsty Dunbar, Lara Curtis and Laurence Daly.
This deal is the latest in a long line of major Premier League, Championship and international football club deals for Northridge in recent years, having acted on deals involving Chelsea FC, Aston Villa FC, Everton FC, Olympique Lyonnais, AC Milan and Leeds United FC.
