Restructuring elite women’s football

Football is now the No.1 participation sport for women and girls in England. We are therefore proud of our work in supporting The Football Association on its complete restructure of the top tier of the women’s game, the Women’s Super League.

The Northridge team has acted for The FA since 2006, advising on the drafting of rules and regulations and governance reforms and representing The FA in dispute resolution.

We have a wealth of experience in structuring new leagues and competitions having previously advised on the restructure of the Welsh rugby regions and Betfred Super League and the launch of the FIH Hockey Pro League and the Hero Indian Super League.

We enjoy similarly strong relationships with a broad range of sports governing bodies, from the Welsh Rugby Union and Premiership Rugby to the Scottish FA, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and the Greyhound Board of Great Britain.

"The FA has had a long-standing relationship with the Northridge team. Their advice is commercial, strategic but above all the team knows The FA and its workings so well that the advice is always ideally bespoke to The FA."
